Winter Tees – General Play Scores – Winter League

We have reached the end of the competitive golf season at Colville Park for 2021 and, as has been the case in recent years, we will preserve (and in some cases re-turf) the usual tees on the course and will switch to winter tees for daily use.  Of course, in adverse weather conditions (frost, excess water etc) we will also use temporary/winter greens.  This effectively means that no more general play scores can be submitted for games played at Colville Park until March 2021as we do not fulfil the requirement to offer a “measured” course in these circumstances.  The Pro Shop will be running a Winter League but rounds played in this competition will not affect a player’s Handicap Index.  For the purposes of the Winter League the Pro shop will maintain a winter handicap for competitors which will only count for the event.  All members with a Handicap Index (excluding juniors) can play in the winter league which will take place every Saturday the weather permits beginning on Saturday October 23rd (assuming their membership allows Saturday play).  There will no ballot for this competition but times must be booked in the usual fashion.  Full details are available in the Pro Shop.

Members may still play general play rounds for handicap at away courses where “measured” tees are available and by following the guidelines on the Scottish Golf app.
